I know I haven't written anything on the blog for almost 9 months, but the events of May 3, 2017, have inspired me to put my pen to paper once more. However, instead of posting my thoughts here, I wrote the blog as an official response to the Anheuser-Busch InBev purchase of Wicked Weed Brewing on The Glass Jug company blog, where we will hopefully reach a larger audience and, specifically, reach our customers.
I felt this was a topic that we, an independently-owned local craft beer store and bar, needed to take a stance on and explain how we will treat Wicked Weed products in the future.
I'll let you head over there to read the full article (including my rabbit-hole of outlining all the terrible things AB InBev is doing to fight against craft beer), but, suffice it to say, I'm not thrilled about this revelation. But, you probably could have guessed that from my other blog posts here and here.
The Jug is all about customer choice, so we will sell what our customers want to buy (we also are all about staying in business). But, we want our customers to be well-informed about the beers they are buying, so I find it appropriate to post this information both here and on The Glass Jug blog.
